Boxelder bugs are attracted to the boxelder trees. They are native to Texas and can be found in dark brown and black color with red markings on the body. These bugs love to cling to female boxelder trees as they produce a sweet substance. However, these bugs can also be found in your home in search of shelter and more food.
These are some of the most common pests found in Texas with about 250 different species. Four of the common ant species to be found are red fire ants, carpenter ants, acrobat ants, and Pharoah ants. Out of these, carpenter ants are the most common and you can spot them easily due to their brown color. Carpenter ants can damage your wooden furniture and other items.
Cockroaches are some of the most adaptable pests and can be found in urban, suburban, and rural parts of the states. These species are the most active at night, thus, spotting them during the day might be difficult. However, if you see even one of them, there is likely much other hiding away. Cockroaches breed faster and can cause allergies and other infections too.
Termites can cause immense damage to your house. These creatures are the most active in the spring and autumn seasons. You are likely to spot their existence near moisture-laden areas like leaky pipes and water heaters.
